Come enjoy dinner and drinks for a good cause, with 10% of all draft beer, wine by the glass and prepared food sales benefiting Richmond Animal Care + Control!
RACC was established as the first city pound on June 5, 1902, and since then it has served as the only open admission public shelter in Richmond. The RACC team offers humane care for more than 3,000 stray, injured, abused and relinquished pets a year and investigates animal cruelty, enforces humane laws and issues pet licenses/permits. While their budget from the city covers basic operational needs at the shelter, RACC depends on its Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, to cover more extensive emergency medical surgery and treatment for animals in need as well as to provide a part-time trainer/behaviorist and help with the costs of volunteer coordination. RACC and the Foundation believe that every life is worth trying to save and are committed to showing compassion to our city's most vulnerable animals.
